Workout widgets on iPhone and iPad
If you use an iOS device like an iPhone or iPad, you can add a Stronglifts Workout widget like this...
- From the Home Screen, touch and hold a widget or an empty area until the apps jiggle.
- Tap Edit in the upper-left corner.
- Tap Add Widget.
- In the top Search bar, enter Stronglifts
- Scroll left/right to view all the available widgets
- Choose a widget, then tap Add Widget.
- Tap Done.

Workouts widgets on Android
Widgets and tiles are only available on Stronglifts v3.11 or later for Android.
You can add the Stronglifts Workout widgets on your Android device like this...
- On the home screen, tap and hold the Stronglifts icon
- Select "Widgets"
- Tap one of the widgets - Today's Workout or Workout Habit (you can add both)
- Tap "Add" to add the widget to your home screen
- Resize the widget by dragging the dots around it
- When you're done, tap outside the widget

When I try to add a widget or tile from the settings, nothing happens.
On Android you can add a Stronglifts Workout Widget or Tile from the settings like this:
- Open Stronglifts > Settings
- Tap Widgets or Quick Settings Tile
- When prompted, add the Widget or Tile

If you're not seeing the prompt, you might have tried too many times to add a widget or tile from the settings. If you keep denying the request when prompted, Android will stop showing you the alert. But you can still add the widget using the steps described earlier in this guide.
How to add a Stronglifts Quick Settings Tile on Android?
The Stronglifts Quick Settings Tile makes it quick and easy to start your workout without even opening the app. You can add a tile like this:
- Swipe down your screen to open the Quick Settings panel.
- Tap the edit button.
- Scroll through all tiles on your device until you see the Stronglifts tile.
- Hold down the Stronglifts tile, and drag it to the list of your active tiles.

You can simply start your workout by swiping down your screen two times, and then tapping "Start Workout". When you have already started your workout, the tile will be highlighted and show "Ongoing Workout". Simply tap it to resume your ongoing workout.
How to use Stronglifts App Shortcuts
With app shortcuts, you can quickly start your workout, resume your ongoing session, or view your progress history or calendar without opening Stronglifts. Here's how it works...
- Touch and hold the Stronglifts icon on your home screen
- Lift your finger and you'll get a list of shortcuts
- Tap "start workout" to directly start the workout.

You can pin one of the shortcuts directly on your home screen for even quicker access. For example, you can add a shortcut to start your workout like this:
- Touch and hold the Stronglifts icon on your home screen
- Lift your finger and you'll get a list of shortcuts
- Touch and hold "Start Workout"
- Slide the shortcut to where you want it on your home screen, then lift your finger.
Now tap the shortcut whenever you want to start your workout. You can add quick shortcuts to view your history, calendar or progress using the same steps.
