How do I log my StrongLifts sets on my phone?

In StrongLifts on your phone, you log a set with a tap on its set circle. Most sets need only one tap.

How to log a completed set

A completed set is a set where you did all the reps. For example, the goal is 5 reps and you did 5 reps.

  1. Tap the set circle.

The circle shows 5. The rest timer starts automatically. To learn more, read How do I use the rest timer?.

How to log a failed set

A failed set is a set where you did fewer reps than the goal. For example, the goal is 5 reps and you did 3 reps.

  1. Tap the set circle three times in a row.

The first tap logs 5 reps. Each next tap removes one rep, so the circle shows 3. If you tap too many times, tap until the circle is empty, then start again.

The rest timer starts with the failure rest time, which is longer by default, so you rest more before the next set.

How to log a skipped set

Do not log it. Keep the set circle empty. StrongLifts counts the set as not done, so the weight does not go up next time.

When to log 0 reps

Log 0 reps only when you try to lift the weight and can't do it. For example, you try Deadlift at 300lb, but the bar does not leave the floor.

  1. Tap the set circle several times in a row until it shows 0.

How to log a set from the notification

When your rest is done, a StrongLifts notification shows. You can log your next set from it.

  1. Touch and hold the notification.
  2. Tap the number of reps you did, for example "5 Reps".
