Frequently Asked Questions

How to change the Apple relay address?

When you login with Apple, you can choose to not share your email address with us.

If you do this, you will see an email address that ends with @privaterelay.applied.com in Stronglifts > settings > profile. Apple will forward any email sent to that address to your real mailbox. For more info on how this feature works, please see: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210425

Note that "Hide My Email" does not create a different account. It's still the same Apple account. The relay email simply hides your actual address. Therefore, there’s no need to disable "Hide My Email". All your purchases and workouts are linked to your Apple ID.

If you still want to disable "Hide My Email", you can do so by following these steps

  1. Go to iPhone Settings, and tap your name
  2. Select iCloud > Hide my Email > Stronglifts
  3. Tap Manage settings > Stronglifts > Stop Using Apple id
  4. Open Stronglifts > Settings > Profile > Sign out
  5. Tap I already have an account > Continue with Apple > Share My Email > Continue.

Your real email address will now show.

My old Apple ID email continues to show despite updating the email

Please note that your workouts are linked to the actual Apple ID you used to log in. The email you see in the app doesn't affect where your workouts are saved.

For example: say you're logged in with Apple, and you see an older email john12345@gmail.com You change this email in your Apple account to john.smith@icloud.com After this Stronglifts still shows john12345@gmail.com However your Apple ID account remains the same, and that's where your workouts are saved. You can verify this by logging out of the Stronglifts app and logging back in with the same account or logging in on a different device. You'll find that all your workouts are still there, confirming that they're saved to the account, not the displayed email address.

If you want to new email to show, please try this:

  1. Go to iPhone > Settings
  2. Tap your name at the top.
  3. Go to Sign-In & Security > Email & Phone Numbers.
  4. Delete all unused email addresses listed here by selecting them and tapping remove from account
  5. Go back to iPhone > Settings > Tap your name again
  6. Go to Sign in with Apple > Stronglifts > Delete.
  7. Open Stronglifts > Settings > Profile > Sign out
  8. Sign in again and choose "Continue with Apple"
  9. Select "Share My Email" (the correct email should show)

The correct email should now show in your Stronglifts settings.

How Can I Transfer My Data from Google to Apple (or Other Services)?

You can easily change the email address associated with your Google, Apple, or Facebook account, as explained above. However, your workout data is linked to the account you used to log in. If you stop using that account and switch to a new one, you will lose access to all the data linked to that account.

When you log in to Stronglifts > Settings > Profile, you need to choose a login method. For example, if you choose Google, we will authenticate you using your Google account. This Google account can have various types of addresses, such as Gmail, iCloud, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. However, the workout data is linked to the Google account itself, not the email. You can easily change the email of the account while keeping all your workouts. But if you stop using the account itself, then you will lose access to all the workouts linked to that account.

It's not possible to transfer workouts from one account to another. If you stop using an account, you will lose access to your workouts and start from scratch on the new account. Before you stop using the old account, you can export your data by going to Stronglifts > Settings > Export (read our guide here). It's not possible to import that data into Stronglifts. But you can use it as a reference.
