Setup Family Sharing
The person who purchased Stronglifts Pro Family Yearly or Quarterly needs to set up Family Sharing on their device and invite each family member.
- Update every device to iOS 18 or later. The instructions on this page are specifically for iOS 18. If you're using an older version of iOS, your device's screens might appear different. To update to the latest version, go to your phone's settings > General > Software update (more info here).
- Take the device on which you purchased Stronglifts Pro Family. Tap your name > Family > Continue
- If the family member you'd like to add shows in the list of suggestions, tap "Invite" next to their name. If they don't show, tap Invite Others > Mail > enter their email address.
- Your family member will receive your invitation by email. Please ask them to open the email and ask to tap the link inside. They should then select "Join Family"
- After this, you'll receive a notification that they've been added to your family group.
How to Share Access with Family Members
Once you've set up family sharing on your iOS device, you need to share the purchase with your family members. Here's how to do this...
- Go to the App Store
- Tap "Account" > "Subscriptions"
- Tap "Stronglifts"
- Enable "Share with Family"
Done. Each family member will now have access to Stronglifts Pro features.
Troubleshooting
I followed every step but my family members don't have access
First, make sure that your phone is set up with the Apple ID that you used to purchase Stronglifts Pro Family Yearly or Quarterly.
- Open the App Store app.
- Tap your photo at the top of the screen
- Tap Purchase History. Sign in if asked to.
- If you can't find Stronglifts, you were probably signed in with a different Apple ID when you purchased Stronglifts Pro.
- Sign in with your other Apple ID and check your purchase history again.
- If you see your Stronglifts purchase now, you can set up family sharing using the steps described above.
I want to use a different Apple Account for Purchase Sharing
If you have more than one Apple account, and you want to use a different one to share purchases with your family members, you can change the account that you use for purchase sharing.
- Open your device settings, then tap Family
- Tap your name
- Tap Apple Account
- Tap "Share using a secondary Apple Account"
- Enter the email address or phone number and password that you use for your Apple Account.
- Tap Use this Apple Account.

My device is set with the right Apple Account but family sharing still doesn't work
Please try this:
- Update iOS to the latest version. We've had cases where family sharing didn't work because one of the devices was using an outdated version of iOS. Please go to your device settings > general > software update. You should do this for every device that needs access to Stronglifts Pro Family.
- Update Stronglifts to the latest version. Stronglifts Pro Family may not work if one of the devices uses an outdated version of Stronglifts. Please update by going to the App Store > Account > Updates > find Stronglifts > tap Update.
- Update the App Store region. We've had cases where Family Sharing didn't work because one of the family members used a different App Store region. It seems like Apple requires the same region for every family member. You can change the App Store region by going to your device settings, tap your name > Media & Purchases > View Account > Country/Region > Change Country or Region. Then select the same region as the family member who purchased Stronglifts Pro Family.
- Reinstall the app with the proper Apple ID. If you downloaded the app with one Apple ID but are now trying to use it with a different Apple ID for Family Sharing, the subscription might not work. To fix this issue, uninstall the app from your device and reinstall it using the Apple ID registered in "Media & Purchases." This process usually resolves the subscription activation problem.
If it still doesn't work after that, please email us for assistance. Contact us from the Stronglifts app > settings > report an issue (or email support@stronglifts.com).
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I upgrade to Stronglifts Pro Family?
Stronglifts Pro Family is currently only available on iOS and through the Stronglifts website.
- iOS: Open the Stronglifts app on your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Subscription. You will find the option to upgrade to Stronglifts Pro Family.
- Website: Go to https://stronglifts.com/app/discount/ and sign up to the newsletter. You will receive a link to a page where you can sign up for Stronglifts Pro Family Lifetime at a discount.
Why is Stronglifts Pro Family not available on Android?
Google only supports Family Sharing for paid apps. Stronglifts is a free-to-download app with in-app purchases. Google doesn't support family sharing for subscriptions and in-app purchases (source).
If Google makes family sharing available for subscriptions and in-app purchases, we'll be happy to implement it on Android like we did on iOS. For now, the workaround is to purchase Stronglifts Pro Family through the Stronglifts website. We can bypass Google's restrictions and add Stronglifts Pro to the account of your family members - whether they use iOS or Android.
Can I share Stronglifts Pro Family with family members without an iOS device?
Yes. If you bought StrongLifts Pro Family through the Apple App Store, you cannot directly share it with family members using Android devices because Apple Family Sharing isn't available on Android. However, if you contact us with your family members' accounts, we can add them for you. Please ask them to login from Stronglifts > settings > profile then email us a screenshot of that.
