How to Share Stronglifts Pro Family Lifetime
With Stronglifts Pro Family Lifetime, up to five other family members gain access to the same Stronglifts Pro features. You can workout with your spouse, partner, siblings, or children.
This guide explains how to share Stronglifts Pro Family Lifetime with your family members if you purchased through the Apple App Store. If you purchase through the website, please read this.

Setup Family Sharing
First, you need to set up a family group and invite your family members to join.
- Update to the latest version of iOS and Stronglifts.
- Take the device on which you purchased Stronglifts Pro Family.
- Open the Settings app > Tap your name > Family > Set Up Your Family.
- Follow the instructions to set up your family and invite family members.

Enable Purchasing Sharing
Next you need to share your purchase with your family members.
- Open the Settings app on your device.
- Tap your name > Family Sharing.
- Tap Purchase Sharing.
- Tap Continue and follow the instructions.
- Tap Purchase Sharing again, and check the Shared Payment information.

Your family members will automatically have access to Stronglifts Pro after this. If not, try Stronglifts > Settings > Subscription > Restore Purchase. This will manually check for the purchase. Please make sure to set up family sharing and enable purchase sharing first or this won't work.
Troubleshooting
I want to use a different Apple Account for Purchase Sharing
If you have more than one Apple account, and you want to use a different one to share purchases with your family members, you can change the account that you use for purchase sharing.
- Open your device settings, then tap Family
- Tap your name
- Tap Apple Account
- Tap "Share using a secondary Apple Account"
- Enter the email address or phone number and password of your Apple Account.
- Tap "Use this Apple Account".

Stronglifts Pro Family Lifetime does not show in my Apple subscriptions
This is normal. Lifetime plans are not subscriptions. They're one-time purchases without recurring fees. So they never show under your subscriptions when you visit your App Store account settings. Only Stronglifts Pro Family Yearly or Quarterly will show under your subscriptions.
You can find your purchase like this:
- Open the App Store app.
- Tap your photo at the top of the screen
- Tap Purchase History. Sign in if asked to.
- If you can't find Stronglifts, you may have purchased with a different account.
- Sign in with your other Apple account and check your purchase history again.
- If you see your Stronglifts purchase now, set up family sharing using the steps described above.
I followed every step but my family members don't have access
Apple has three requirements for family sharing to work for non-consumable in-app purchases like Stronglifts Pro Family Lifetime:
- Purchase sharing must be enabled on your device.
- Sharing payment must be enabled for your family members.
- Stronglifts can not be hidden from your purchase history.
You'll meet these requirements if you follow every step described above in this guide.
If it still doesn't work after that, please reinstall the app on the device of your family member. This will force the app to pull the purchase (we already pull the purchase when the app is installed, while you use it, and when you hit recover purchase in the app settings. But it seems like there's some issue at Apple preventing Family Lifetime sharing from working in some cases. We've filed a bug report with Apple and hope that they can address this soon).
Here's a checklist to make sure everything works:
- Device Settings > [Your Name] > Family => Your family members must be listed here.
- Device Settings > Family > Purchase Sharing => Enable this on your device and the device of your family members.
- App Store > Profile > Purchase History => Stronglifts must be listed here. If it isn't your device is not set up with the Apple Account that you used to purchase.
- Device of your family member > Stronglifts > Settings > Subscription > Tap "Restore Purchase".
- Device of your family member > delete and reinstall the app.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I upgrade to Stronglifts Pro Family?
Stronglifts Pro Family is currently only available on iOS and through the Stronglifts website.
- iOS: Open the Stronglifts app on your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Subscription. You will find the option to upgrade to Stronglifts Pro Family.
- Website: Go to https://stronglifts.com/app/discount/ and sign up to the newsletter. You will receive a link to a page where you can sign up for Stronglifts Pro Family Lifetime at a discount.
Why is Stronglifts Pro Family not available on Android?
Google only supports Family Sharing for paid apps. Stronglifts is a free-to-download app with in-app purchases. Google doesn't support family sharing for subscriptions and in-app purchases (source).
If Google makes family sharing available for subscriptions and in-app purchases, we'll be happy to implement it on Android like we did on iOS. For now, the workaround is to purchase Stronglifts Pro Family through the Stronglifts website. We can bypass Google's restrictions and add Stronglifts Pro to the account of your family members - whether they use iOS or Android.
Can I share Stronglifts Pro Family with family members without an iOS device?
Yes. If you bought StrongLifts Pro Family through the Apple App Store, you cannot directly share it with family members using Android devices because Apple Family Sharing isn't available on Android. However, if you contact us with your family members' accounts, we can add them for you. Please ask them to login from Stronglifts > settings > profile then email us a screenshot of that.
